Instructions for Factory Reset of Flybuy LED Tablet.

TASK 1: Disable Network

When the tablet first boots, you have a short window of time to launch the settings app and put the tablet in Airplane Mode.

This will disable network access and provide us the ability to access settings after the Flybuy Kiosk application has taken over the screen.

You must do all of these steps very quickly, before the Flybuy Kiosk application has launched.

STEP 1.1: Power on the tablet and as soon as you see the tablet home screen, tap the Settings app icon shown in the image below.

STEP 1.2: As soon as Settings has launched, tap Network and Internet.

STEP 1.3: As soon as the Network panel is displayed, tap the Airplane mode setting to enable it.

At this point, you have successfully disabled the network and put the tablet in Airplane mode. If for some reason, Airplane mode is not shown, you also have the option of disabling the Wi-Fi to accomplish the same thing.

The Flybuy Kiosk app should launch and you should see a screen with a similar display as that shown below.

TASK 2: Factory Reset the Tablet

In order to remove the Flybuy Kiosk app, we need to factory reset the tablet. Execute the following steps to accomplish this.

STEP 2.1: Tap the Modify Network Settings link in the displayed page shown above to launch the Settings application.

STEP 2.2: One the Settings application has launched, navigate the settings as follows:

System >> Advanced >> Reset options

STEP 2.3: From the Reset options panel tap Erase all data (factory reset) as shown below. The system will prompt you for 2 confirmations and you should confirm at each step. Once confirmed the tablet should restart and the Flybuy Kiosk application will be removed from the system.

TASK 3: Download the Flybuy Staff App from the Google Play store.

STEP 3.1: Configure the network settings so your reset tablet has access to the Internet.

STEP 3.2: Launch the Google Play Store application and sign in with a valid Google account so that you can download apps from the Google Play store.

NOTE: You may find the Google Play store unstable at first. With the tablet connected to the Internet, there will be a set of updates that the tablet will receive that should alleviate these problem. This might be a good time to go get a cup of coffee and come back to it in 10-15 minutes.
STEP 3.3: Search for the Flybuy Staff application and install it on your tablet.

STEP 3.4: Launch the Flybuy Staff app. You will notice that by default it launches in portrait mode. Tap the white gear icon in the top left corner to access the application settings from the activation page. From the application settings panel, change the Orientation to Landscape and then hit the back button to return to the application.

STEP 3.5: Set the application display mode to split screen. In the photo below, I'm demonstrating it in split screen with the multifunction clock app that comes pre-installed on the tablet. However, we need the SkipTheDishes app, so we will open the Google Play Store and download the SkipTheDishes app.

TASK 5: Activate the Flybuy Staff App dashboard.

STEP 5.1: Record the activation code and note the expiration date. If the date has expired, just relaunch the application to get an updated code.
