POS & IT Checklist for New Store Openings

It is important that these items be verified before doors open and a new Five Guys restaurant:

POS

  1. Skip the Dishes option exists

  2. Delivery Tender exists

  3. Pricing is correct for To Go and Delivery orders

  4. Tax Rates are correct

  5. No extra items that we don’t carry exist, for example bottled beverage flavours

  6. Employees have been entered into CrunchTime and been given a PIN on the POS

  7. Menu items print to the kitchen and milkshake printers

  8. Customer receipts print the Five Guys logo and store information (store number, address, phone number and GST/HST number)

  9. Customer facing display contains only Canadian marketing material

  10. TeamViewer is installed on both POS terminals and the POS tablet

Credit & Gift Cards

  1. The pin pads are configured and say “Five Guys”

  2. The the payment device buttons is pressed on the POS the appropriate pin pad activates

  3. The pin pads accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and Debit without error

  4. The pin pad tap function is enabled

  5. The pin pads are mounted on their stand and attached to the counter

  6. Gift Cards have been tested
